GEORGES DE FEURE (1868-1943) [LE JOURNAL DES VENTES.] 1897. 23x15 inches, 60x39 cm. Condition B+: repaired tears and creases in margins and image. Hand signed by artist in blue pencil. Matted and framed. Jane Abdy considers this "de Feure's finest poster, and one of the most beautiful of the whole period" (Abdy p, 156). The Journal des Ventes was a Belgian auction journal, so, fittingly, De Feure depicts a woman admiring a work of art glass. This is a very rare proof before letters.
